FedEx Ground, a leader in cost-effective package ground shipping, has recognized Al Jones and the Redbone Trucking team for providing outstanding contract transportation services as the 2020 FedEx Entrepreneur of the Year.
Redbone Trucking was selected for the Western Region from a pool of dozens of contractors.
Redbone Trucking came to life in 2005 when Al purchased his first truck: a Peterbilt that’s still in our yard today. In March of 2009, in the midst of a massive recession, Al purchased the first FedEx contract. Today, Redbone Trucking is the largest FedEx contractor in Utah, has expanded to two more terminals, and boasts a fleet of over 130 trucks hauling for FedEx, Albertson’s, Walmart, Safeway, and many other customers.
“I am honored to receive this recognition from FedEx Ground,” said Al. “Fifteen years in, this award acts as an external validation of our success, but it wouldn’t be remotely possible without the incredible work of the Redbone team. They have all played a part in developing Redbone Trucking into the company that it is today, and I’d like to dedicate the award to them.”
